Closet Organization

Hi best friends! Two weekends ago I took a good look at my (tiny) closet. It needed it, desperately. I must have thrown out around 3 garbage bags stuffed with clothes. JUST CLOTHES! (Don’t worry they went to Goodwill and the nicer coats went to a church donation drive.) I organized by color, in some cases even by fabric. I felt Neat as You Please looking down on me and smiling at my organizational skills. Now how long this lasts, only time will tell. All I know is it felt so good to get rid of all the clothes I hadn’t worn since college or longer (!!!!) I have room to grow now (yippee!) and I’m also making a more conscious effort when I shop to really look at quality and longevity of what I’m buying. No more buying neon crop shirts because they’re “trendy for Spring 2013.” This is how most of us end up flying through clothes and then when the new season comes around we have nothing to wear because everything we bought last year is no longer in style. No more I say!

Anyway…here’s what it looks like now. I thought about showing “before” shots too but if you just imagine a tornado hitting any fashion obsessed girl’s closet then you know how it looked beforehand.

Here are the tanks/sleeveless tops area...color-freakin-coded!

Hopefully this inspires some of you guys to go & clean out your own closets so we can ALL shop! Also let’s take a moment of silence for my old closet from Pensacola.

I had a chaise lounge in there. How spoiled was I?
