Erryday I’m Travelin’

Hi best friends! So, if I haven’t mentioned it before…I travel. A lot. This requires me to travel with the bare minimums usually every weekend. Whether it’s going home to see my family or just for work, I’m on the go at least some point every month. In doing this for the past year now I have become something of an expert in the art that is traveling lightly ( at least when it comes to packing makeup/toiletries…I’m still working on packing lightly on clothes.) Today I thought I would show you what’s in my travel makeup bag.

Yeah...I know. It's a mess.

Yeah…I know. It’s a mess.

Here it is, in all it glory. I got this bag from a cute little set at ULTA around my birthday. I use the bigger bag for toiletries/etc. Anyways, it’s still usually almost always overflowing and I’m actually missing a few things because I ran out and haven’t been able to replace them yet but you guys get the idea.

I literally just grabbed stuff out and photographed it (in my parent’s lovely front yard, where it was probably 155 degrees out FYI.)

Rimmel Showoffs in Big Bang (red color) & Luna (peachy nude) followed by Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick

These are my lip products I bring. I have two Rimmel Showoffs that I FINALLY got my hands on about a month ago. Before I was ordering them off ASOS and they were called Apocalips (the British name for them) and I could only get the bright red. I have the bright red & soft peachy nude color in my bag always. Then I have the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick. Fusia colors seem to work best for me even though I HATE bright colors in makeup. Go figure.

Maybelline, NYX & Benefit

Next up is eyes. I have quite a few things for eyes. Obviously, I have my NYX eyeshadow base, followed by my trusty Color Tattoos, and a pure pigment from Benefit called Moon Doggie.

Urban Decay Naked Basics & Wer'nWild In Petal Pusher

I also bring my two current favorite palettes: Urban Decay Naked Basics & Wet’NWild Color Icon pallette in Petal Pusher.

Mascaras...and an eye lash curler.

Mascaras…and an eye lash curler.

Next I have my new current favorite mascara Revlon Lash Potion, followed closely by a sample size of Benefit’s They’re Real just in case I feel the need to get fancy. I have my favorite smokey kohl liner from Sephora and your typical eye lash curler as well. The Great Lash Mascara in Clear I use as my brow gel (it’s just as good as any brow gel you would find at the department stores/Sephora/ULTA.)

Foundations fo yo face.

Foundations fo yo face.

Next are my concealers and foundations. I’m a HUGE fan of the Smashbox Light primer with my Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation (though I’ve been testing out MakeUp Forever’s Mat Velvet and I must say…It’s beating the hell outta Naked Skin.) I also have my Urban Decay BB cream (so creamy with such a nice, light coverage) & my Sephora collection 8hr Mattifying Powder Foundation. Concealers are next. I LOVE my Sephora collection Lightening & Brightening pen for my undereyes and the VSPro Pallette works OK when I’m on the go (be warned, this is NOT the best concealer I’ve ever had but it works for fast application and travel needs.)

Benefit, NARS, & Wet’NWild

And the piece de resistance…Blushers & Bronzers! I bring my Wet’n’Wild blusher in Pearlescent Pink, along with my NARS duo in Laguna & Orgasm. It’s better than bringing full size of both (those things add up real quick.) I also have a sample size of Benefit’s Watts Up. It’s my favorite highlighter for summer…very shimmery & gives off a champagne color to lighten up any area of the face you feel you need a little pick me up.

I know I promised a dupe this week for Revlon’s Lash Potion but I ran out of the high-end dupe and threw away the packaging before I remembered to photograph it. Womp. Such is internet blogger life. I’m on vacation for the rest of the week, but I’ll be back next week with a recap of any shenanigans that might go down. I might get crazy and go vintage shopping. *Thriftshop starts playing*

  1. I always bring a Wet n’ Wild palette in my travel case too. I think that it is such an underrated palette! The shadows are so pigmented for the price/

  2. Wet’n’Wild easily has the best eye shadows at the drugstore and they’re the cheapest. Glorious! I’ve never tried the Watts Up, is it a creme? I really like the Mac Soft and Gentle but it is pretty sparkly.

    • Watts up is a stick formula. It goes on light and is really blendable with a nice color pay off. It’s shimmery but not overkill. This is the sample size but the full size lasts foreverrrr.
