Ye Olde Drugstore Haul

Hi best friends! Today I thought I would do a drugstore haul. Big surprise right? That title wasn’t obvious or anything…

I’m only doing recent eye purchases today just because I realized I have a LOT of recent drugstore purchases. Some I’m testing out to see if they are really dupes for some of my nicer, high end beauty products and some are just things I forgot existed and I’m rediscovering them.  Today’s eye products are ALL recommended products from some of my favorite people in beauty guru land.  So let’s just dive right in…

First up is this adorable little palette from Wet n Wild. It’s called Petal Pusher. While not all of the shades in here are top notch at least four are pretty amazing, particularly the “brow bone” color on the top right (even though I would never put this shade on my browbone but whatevs.) It’s a great highlight shade for your tear duct area as well as the inner corners of your eyes as well.

The two purple shades are phenomenal. They’re just pigmented enough to give you the color but not quite as bright as they appear, which I really like.  I have a tendency to go for all neutral, very natural makeup so if you aren’t into that my picks probably won’t interest you. If you buy this thinking those two purples are going to POP…you will be disappointed so just a heads up. For $4.99 you can’t beat this though. It’s a great palette for traveling, as you could do both night and day time looks with this. Plus if it gets lost or damaged…just go buy a new one!

Next up are the best things that have ever happened to me…Maybelline Color Tattoos! I feel like I am the last person on the planet to try these but they definitely live up to the hype. They go on creamy and rich, give great pigment, and make great bases.  They also just happen to be an excellent dupe for some of MAC’s paint pots.

Barely Branded (above right) is an almost identical dupe to MAC’s Bare Study paint pot. The two shades I have above are neutral brown shades which pair really well with any of the Naked Palettes. Personally I like the Naked Basics palette myself but thats a different post entirely. These got for around $6-$7 each depending on where you buy them from (they’re cheaper at CVS though and almost always BOGO %50 off.)

Last but not least, there’s mascara.

This is Revlon’s Lash Potion in the Waterproof formula. I’m going to make a disclaimer right now and say from everything I’ve read about this mascara,  waterproof formula performs best so beware if you don’t like waterproof mascaras this might not be for you. I LOVE this guy. Seriously in LURVE. I love a good mascara formula with a big brush. This is a great dupe for a VERY high end, expensive mascara that I’m going to share next week with you all so I’m not going to talk too much about it other than, holy cow it WORKS…and for $4.99 at Target you can’t beat it. (I’ve seen it at CVS/Walgreens for around $7.99 so just beware it is so much cheaper at Target.)

That’s all I have for today. Hope you guys enjoyed my eyes drugstore haul. Stay tuned for the next installment of ‘Ye Olde Drugstore Haul’…I’ll be talking about blushers and bronzers! Maybe. There’s a good chance I’ll change my mind before then so don’t bank on that. You’ll learn quickly little ducks…I’m very indecisive sometimes.
